Sam Airey

Sam Airey is an exceptionally talented young singer songwriter who deserves to be a household name. If there is any justice in this world then 2012 will be the year that Sam starts to become known by millions.

Spector

Spector released three singles during 2011 on the Luv Luv Luv label that made the music industry stop and take notice. Spector create big, bold, anthemic Indie songs that will soon be known by everyone. 2012 is going to be the year that Spector cross over into the mainstream and show that real music can be popular.

The Standards

The Standards are a band who write pop music the way it should be written. Following their self released single ‘Mice’ last year, this is a band that I can’t stop thinking about. Their debut album is recorded and ready to be released during 2012 and if the perfect world that I believe in does exist, then The Standards will be played by every radio station up and down the country during the next twelve months.

Town

Newport based Town spent much of 2011 gigging and releasing two singles which saw them gain a regular fan base and support from the BBC through Steve Lamacq and Jen Long. Town have that important belief that to be a band you have to mates and be part of a gang. Their music inspires you to go out and grab hold of life with both hands and live it to the fullest.

Tribes

Tribes are a Camden four piece who are being tipped by many in the music media as being the ‘next big thing’. Tribes have the self belief, the swagger and most importantly the tunes to back it up. The two EP’s they released in 2011 were full of grunge guitar riffs, taking the fast slow approach that worked so well for Nirvana and The Pixies.

Various Cruelties

‘If It Wasn’t For You’ was one of my favorite songs of 2011. If Various Cruelties can continue with the high standards they have set with their early recordings then 2012 is going to be a great year for this band. Various Cruelties have a soulful sound that needs to be heard by as many people as possible.
