‘Capricornia’ is the first single from the second album ‘Europe’ by indie pop favourites Allo Darlin’.
Within the first thirty seconds of ‘Capricornia’ you will find a big massive smile has appeared on your face and their is nothing you can do to stop it. Allo Darlin’ were put on this earth to create songs such as ‘Capricornia’. There is nothing complicated about this song, but there doesn't need to be. ‘Capricornia’ is a sweet sun drenched pop song that makes the world feel a far better place. You will be hard pushed to find a sweeter lyric than “You turn my world on its axis every time I look into your eyes”.
At a time when the top 40 is filled with nonsense, questions have to be asked why songs like this are not reaching the top of the charts. ‘Capricornia’ is everything a pop song should be. It gets inside your head, makes you happy and then leaves.
