For the last three years Eugene McGuiness has been steadily releasing material and touring as part of Miles Kane’s backing band. All of which have gained him critical acclaim but have not seen him achieve the mainstream success that his music deserves.
‘Lion’ is the first release from Eugene’s forthcoming album. It starts with handclaps that instantly draws you in. The song is built around a driving rhythm and a hectic vocal style that ensures the listener is kept interested from start to finish. ‘Lion’ is an incredibly exciting fast paced three minute song that will hopefully see Eugene achieving success in his own right and ensuring that he has a bigger part to play in music than being a session musician.
