Five years have passed since The Shins released their last album ‘Wincing The Night Away’, and a lot has changed in those five years. James is now the only member left from the original line up. As a taster for new album ‘Port Of Morrow’ The Shins have released new track ‘Simple Song’.
One listen to ‘Simple Song’ and you soon realise that although the line up may have changed that unmistakable sound of The Shins has remained. All the things that made you fall in love with The Shins in the first place are all here in this great pop song. Simple Song’ is a powerful, uplifting melodic song that goes a long way to summing up what pop music should be.
Listening to ‘Simple Song’ has made me realise how much I have missed The Shins and has left me counting down the days till the release of ‘Port Of Morrow’.
